Future developments? (& fixes & jam postmortem)

Hi everyone ! Some news for MEMES DIE TOO!

GAME UPDATE(S)

I just uploaded a new version of the game! The new version contains 2 majors fixes:

   - performance update. the game becoming slow and audio bugs are partially adressed. (not 100% but much better)

   - replay fix. previously, the "play again" button didn't reset properly the game state

More interesting : I would like to continue Memes Die Too's development. As the core design is very experimental, I am wondering what could a bigger version of *Memes Die Too* look like. Jam feedback was a great starting point. For instance, someone said "I'm pretty sure this last post swayed an election"... which is immensely interesting to me, from a creative perspective. However it needs quite some work & design tinkering to become a thing in the game. I am very far from working on the game daily, so this will take some time, and I won't be posting updates soon.

GREAT FACTS

Game OFF  MEMES DIE TOO is the 4th most rated game of the whole Game OFF! During the month-long rating period, jammers gave the game 70 ratings, and 55 comments, all of which contains very valuable feedback. At the time of writing (12/04/2023), the game got played 439 times, for 669 pages views (is this a good ratio?). The fact I rated myself a lot of games surely helped (82), but there seems to also be a genuine interest overall so I am very grateful for that

Known record The highest score I got to know about was 9 days! I did it once (I played the game... a lot). Multiple people achieved 10 nonetheless, which is honestly the best you can get without favorable random.

MEMES DIE TOO MAKING

If you are interested in how I made Memes Die Too, I wrote some explanations of my creative process and design thoughts in this page of my portfolio: https://theophiledreux-gamedesign.notion.site/Memes-Die-Too-f160f59374eb4b1aa950... I hope you'll like it!
